100 Women Who Care About Long Island is a group of local women who are interested in supporting our communities by contributing to Long Island charities together as a group to increase the impact.

We come from all walks of life and varying financial backgrounds. As individuals, it is difficult to make a very large impact, but as a group, we believe we have the ability to contribute to the growth of our communities in ways that we never before thought possible.

Our mission is to reach out and help our communities by finding at least 100 women to commit to our group. Commitment involves attending four, one-hour meetings a year, and pledging $100 per meeting ($400.00 per year) to support a local charity. If you cannot or prefer not to commit to $100 four times a year, you may partner with another woman to meet the $400 yearly commitment. All charitable organizations must be located in, and serve, Nassau or Suffolk Counties and must have 501(c)(3) non-profit status.

Our goal is to keep our focus local and have an impact that can be seen in our community.
This group is perfect for you if:

• Your time is limited
• You want 100% of your donations to go directly to a charitable organization on Long Island
• You want to learn about, or let other women know about, the amazing work done by our local non-profits
• You want to become part of creating a powerful new group of amazing women that will make an immediate, direct and positive impact on Long Island

At each meeting, members choose a charity from the vetted list on the website, the names are placed in a bowl and three charities are pulled. The selected charities will make a 5-minute presentation at the next scheduled business meeting.
A Q&A session follows, after which members vote on the charity they wish to support. The winner is announced, and each member contributes $100 directly to the 100wwcli GrowFund Account. The donations are collected and GrowFund issues a check to the winning charity.  This allows the charity to feel the huge impact that 100 Women Who Care can make… together. At the following meeting, the winning organization tells us how the money was used, and what impact it had on the community and the charity.
